DriveDrop, the at-home test drive marketplace and logistics platform, and DealersCloud, a cloud-based Dealer Management System (DMS) provider serving independent and franchise dealerships, today announced a strategic partnership to embed DriveDrop’s at-home test drive technology directly into the DealersCloud platform. The integration enables more than 300 dealerships across the East Coast to activate at-home test drives from within their existing workflow, while DriveDrop manages end-to-end logistics, liability, and consumer payments. Through this agreement, DriveDrop becomes DealersCloud’s exclusive at-home test drive partner inside the DMS environment. Dealers gain a turnkey way to offer driveway deliveries and test drives without leaving their operating system; DriveDrop orchestrates scheduling, routing, verification, and on-site experience. The companies will also undertake joint go-to-market initiatives - including co-marketing, case studies, and product demos - to accelerate adoption among DealersCloud’s network of rooftops. Following strong early results, DriveDrop’s at-home test drive platform has quickly grown from early pilots in Houston to full production across dealerships in Texas and North Carolina, with additional partners joining along the East Coast. By embedding its at-home test drive widget directly onto dealership websites, DriveDrop delivers a 5x higher conversion rate than standard test drive forms and now drives roughly 10% of monthly sales for participating dealers. Unlike traditional lead tools, DriveDrop uses neutral, dedicated porters to fulfill at-home test drives which allows dealerships to operate without workflow changes and giving customers confidence that a trusted third party is delivering the vehicle, not a salesperson. Dealerships using DriveDrop report a ~70% lower CAC and ~15% higher close rate, with particularly strong traction among women, families, blue-collar workers, and elderly buyers who value the convenience and trust of a delivery-based experience. DealersCloud delivers an all-in-one, cloud-based dealership management system designed especially for independent and smaller franchise stores. The platform unifies inventory and desking, CRM and lead management, accounting and reporting, and web and mobile operations—all within a single application. Beyond the core DMS, DealersCloud offers robust inventory distribution and digital marketing services to extend a dealer’s reach across major listing channels, while closing the loop with CRM and reporting data. Their built-in AI tools — branded as DC Advanced AI — assist dealers in lead scoring, real-time market analysis, vehicle description generation, and deal risk prediction. The site reports the platform can deliver “< 90 second responses,” “35% more conversions,” and “25% faster turns.” With hundreds of rooftops supported across the East Coast, DealersCloud helps dealers cut costs, boost efficiency, and sell more cars using a modern, mobile-ready stack. “Our mission has always been to put technology at the heart of dealer productivity,” said Nafees Abbasi, CEO of DealersCloud. “Partnering with DriveDrop extends that mission—enabling dealers to meet customers where they are, at home, without adding complexity.” DriveDrop is the first marketplace and enterprise platform purpose-built for at-home automotive test drives. Consumers discover vehicles and book a driveway test drive; DriveDrop’s operations layer handles verification, dispatch/porter logistics, on-site experience, and feedback. For dealers, DriveDrop offers a widget and API that drops into existing sites and systems, turning high-funnel interest into booked, high-intent appointments that close at materially higher rates than generic internet leads. DriveDrop is advised by Shelby Clark (founder of Turo) and other industry veterans who are shaping product strategy and operational playbooks alongside the team. “Dealers routinely spend hundreds of dollars per lead for low close rates,” said Ibrahim Zafar, CEO of DriveDrop. “Our pilots consistently show the opposite: when you deliver the test drive to the customer, close rates rise and acquisition costs fall. By integrating natively with DealersCloud, we can scale that proof across more than 300 dealerships immediately.” The timing of this partnership is especially significant. The U.S. auto industry is undergoing rapid transformation: more than 80% of car buyers now begin their journey online, yet most dealers still rely on showroom visits to close sales. At the same time, dealer acquisition costs have climbed to $500+ per car sold through digital ads and lead vendors, while margins continue to tighten. Consumers increasingly expect Amazon-like convenience, with surveys showing that two-thirds of buyers would prefer completing more of the purchase process outside the dealership. By embedding DriveDrop’s at-home test drive system directly into DealersCloud’s DMS, this partnership delivers on both sides of the equation — giving consumers the seamless digital-to-physical experience they want, and giving dealers a way to lower acquisition costs, increase conversions, and future-proof their operations.
